Is in-home care right for me or my loved one?
For many people, home care is the perfect option. Read on to determine if it's the perfect option for you or your loved one!
Home care is a great option in any of these situations:
- You are having hip or knee replacement surgery and don’t want to go to a rehab center to recover
- You’ve just returned home from the hospital and need help getting back on your feet.
- You have a sore, cut, or wound that is not healing properly on its own
- You’re having increased difficulty getting up or walking.
- You have so many medications you can’t keep them straight.
- You got the flu that everybody else had and feel weak too weak to care for yourself or your home
- It is becoming increasingly difficult to get dressed in the morning.
- You’re having difficulty getting into or out of the bathtub or shower
- You live alone and need an extra hand around the house.
- You get tired just trying to prepare meals, let alone cleaning up afterwards.
- You want to stay home independently but you’re worried about safety.
- Your loved one needs help but you are not physically able to help him or her.
“I wouldn't have anyone else in my home, but Amity. We've had experiences with other agencies and none of them were as good as Amity. I've had the same caregiver for five years and I have been with Amity for ten. The nurses go out of their way to help me and on more than one occasion a nurse has stopped by on their own personal time in order to help me. It's the things they didn't have to do that made me stick by Amity.”
