JOB TITLE:   Human Resources Coordinator

1. HR Service Delivery 30%

- Tracking of employee status changes, such as terminations, promotions, etc.

Administers Family Medical Leave Act requirements, and serves as an FMLA resource to management.

- Participates and administers HR duties, including but not limited to, providing local support to employees and managers regarding company HR policies, unemployment activities, case management of STD, FMLA, and Worker’s Compensation, etc. 

- Distributes and collects benefit forms, verifies employee eligibility, communicates new or deleted enrollees in benefit plans.

- Executes projects and processes in alignment with the HR Strategy.

- Acts as a liaison to the corporate office for human resources and safety programs and initiatives; Partners with leadership to communicate to client areas.






2.Recruitment and Retention 30%


- Maintains an effective selection system for hiring quality staff throughout the organization.  This includes application reviews and screening applicants, conducting reference checks, background checks and drug screening.  Practices behavioral interviewing techniques and coaches managers to effectively interview.

- Conducts ongoing sourcing for high turnover positions.

- Administers pre-hire requirements, such as drug screens, background check, fingerprinting, etc.

- Prepares orientation materials for new hires, such as new hire paperwork and name badges. Orients new employees to the company and explains policies and procedures, benefits, etc.

- Conducts exit interviews and tracks employee turnover into voluntary and involuntary, looking for trends, and making recommendations for reducing overall turnover.



3. Employee Engagement & Development 10%


- Proactively maintains effective employee relations and engagement to achieve business objectives and positive morale.

- Collaborates with Corporate HR Manager to advise with leadership concerning staffing issues, wage and salary issues, disciplinary action/counseling, terminations, etc. 

- Counsels management on other employee corrective actions as needed.



4. Compliance & Risk Management 15%


- Coordinates roll-outs and process changes to ensure consistent administration of policies and procedures across the organization.

- Assures that employee files are secure and documentation is compliant with current employment practices and legal requirements (i.e., I-9 forms, tax information, references, HIPAA regulations, etc.).

- At times, provides information to outside sources in accordance with current laws and policy (i.e., unemployment, surveyors, etc.).

- Assures that the organization is in compliance with current applicable federal and state employment regulations regarding wages, overtime, work hours, workers’ unemployment/compensation, etc.

- Maintains confidentiality of all personnel information in accordance with established policies, laws and regulations.

5. Facility Leadership 15%
Actively participates in leadership team meetings, providing Human Resources updates as appropriate to the facility leadership team. Communicates with the Facility - Administrator in key areas such as recruiting, retention, and case management for Worker’s Compensation and other leaves of absence.

- As needed, participate in weekend manager rotation to ensure quality services are delivered which includes, but not limited to, monitoring departmental practices and interviewing residents to assess the quality of their stay.  Information gathered is to be reported to the leadership team for follow up on the weekend manager reporting documents and patient rounding forms.   

- As requested, plans and participates in facility, holiday, and resident family events as a part of the Facility leadership team.
